Install from Chrome Web Store

  1. Visit the HotKey Wallet listing on the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome and confirm the permissions prompt.
  3. The HotKey Wallet icon appears in your extensions toolbar. Click it to open the sidebar panel.
  4. The sidebar opens on the right side of your browser. You'll see the onboarding screen.

Create a New Wallet

  1. On the onboarding screen, tap Create Wallet.
  2. Choose a wallet name, such as Main, Trading, or Sniper.
  3. Set a strong password. This password encrypts all private keys locally.
  4. Your new Solana keypair is generated in-browser. The private key is shown once; store it somewhere safe.
  5. Click I've backed up my key to proceed.
  6. The key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored in Chrome's local storage.
Warning: If you lose your private key and forget your password, your wallet cannot be recovered. There is no backend recovery.

Import an Existing Wallet

  1. On the onboarding screen, tap Import Wallet.
  2. Paste your private key as a Base58 string or JSON byte array.
  3. Give the wallet a name and set your password.
  4. The key is validated, encrypted, and stored locally.

Bulk Import from CSV

  1. Open the Wallets panel.
  2. Scroll down and tap Bulk Import.
  3. Select a CSV file with one private key per line.
  4. Valid keys are encrypted and stored; invalid keys are skipped with a warning.

After Installation

Once your wallet is created, navigate to any supported trading platform and open a token page. The extension auto-detects the token and loads it in the sidebar.
