Installation
Get HotKey Wallet running in under a minute.
Install from Chrome Web Store
- Visit the HotKey Wallet listing on the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome and confirm the permissions prompt.
- The HotKey Wallet icon appears in your extensions toolbar. Click it to open the sidebar panel.
- The sidebar opens on the right side of your browser. You'll see the onboarding screen.
Tip: Pin the extension to your toolbar for quick access. Right-click the extensions puzzle icon and click the pin next to HotKey Wallet.
Create a New Wallet
- On the onboarding screen, tap Create Wallet.
- Choose a wallet name, such as Main, Trading, or Sniper.
- Set a strong password. This password encrypts all private keys locally.
- Your new Solana keypair is generated in-browser. The private key is shown once; store it somewhere safe.
- Click I've backed up my key to proceed.
- The key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored in Chrome's local storage.
Warning: If you lose your private key and forget your password, your wallet cannot be recovered. There is no backend recovery.
Import an Existing Wallet
- On the onboarding screen, tap Import Wallet.
- Paste your private key as a Base58 string or JSON byte array.
- Give the wallet a name and set your password.
- The key is validated, encrypted, and stored locally.
Bulk Import from CSV
- Open the Wallets panel.
- Scroll down and tap Bulk Import.
- Select a CSV file with one private key per line.
- Valid keys are encrypted and stored; invalid keys are skipped with a warning.
After Installation
Once your wallet is created, navigate to any supported trading platform and open a token page. The extension auto-detects the token and loads it in the sidebar.
